Crew Has arrived and prepping the site

11/13/24 Update: The barriers are up both in Salmon Meadow cove and Ash cove . Been driving by several times today and the most I waited was a few minutes.

Update on 11/19/24 They have started to lay the pipes. As you can see from the pictures the job is progressing nicely.

11-29-24 We are waiting for the headwall on the Salmon Meadow cove side . Pipe has now been extended under the roadway. As you can see we got a little snow yesterday. Please drive extra slow though the area.

Update on 12-2-2024. Today we had part of the head wall placed. It all went according to plan. There was a short period of time when the road was closed for passage due to the work.

12-4-24 All of the headwall is now installed. The crew has done an amazing job. The wait to drive past the work area, has been kept to an absolute minimum.

12/14/2024 Culvert update. Culvert is in place. As you can see below the guard rail has been installed. Paving is estimated to commence in the spring of 2025. Everything is looking great.

The culvert that connects Salmon Meadow Cove with Ash Cove has failed and no longer serves its' intended purpose. Additionally, the road that sits above the culvert is collapsing, reinforcing the need to fix the culvert. The new culvert will increase the water flow between Salmon Meadow Cove and Ash Cove promoting better water quality in both coves.

The cost of the project is estimated to be $298,082.40. We are pleased to report that we are well on our way to reaching this required funding level and have now surpassed the $270,000 mark in collections. Thank you to those of you in our Krainewood Community that have made contributions to date.

Kindly note our goal is to start the road and culvert project this year; but in order to do so we need your help in raising the remaining funds. Please make checks payable to “Krainewoood Shores Association” with notation “culvert/road project” in the memo box. Checks can be given to Santino Ferrante, Steve King or Anni Jakobsen who are regularly out and about collecting the remaining funds. You may also mail your check to: “Krainewood Shores Association P.O. Box 685 Center Harbor, NH 03226”. If you prefer to do a wire transfer, please contact us for instructions.

We are asking anyone that has not contributed to invest in your community. If you have already contributed and wish to do more; we will gladly accept additional contributions.
